10-year-old girl seriously injured in Goldsboro shooting: ‘My baby’s been shot’

WTVD-TV reported on the shooting of a 10-year-old girl in Goldsboro, NC. Responding to a ShotSpotter alert, police found ten bullet holes in the side of a house and a young gunshot wound victim inside. The girl was lying on a mattress at the time of shooting. “We’re in fear,” said a neighbor and close family friend. “Like we can’t even sit out here on our front porch because we’re [in] fear of who’s going to come through here shooting because they don’t care whether it’s daylight or nighttime.” The girl is currently in serious condition at a local hospital. No arrests have been made.
