The Reno Gazette-Journal reported on a ShotSpotter alert that led to an arrest in Sparks, NV. When officers arrived after gunshots were detected, they could hear a male yelling inside a residence. One witness said they saw a man with a long gun, ultimately leading to the arrival of a SWAT team. More than two hours later, the suspect opened a back window, and jumped into a neighbor’s backyard before being met by officers and being detained. The man faces numerous weapon-related charges.
